Elevator Wire Rope Gauges

Recognizing the industry need for a field tool to assist in initial rope wear assessment, Lustre Products developed the wire rope gauge.  Lustre Products wire rope gauges and escalator step gauges are created with laser precision so you know you will have accurate measurements every time. Available in Imperial or Metric, they can be customized with your company’s logo and anodized in multiple colors.

Imperial - Red Anodized Aluminum

  • Anodized aluminum coating to protect against corrosion and wear.
  • Color coded red for easy imperial tool identification and use.
  • Convenient, easy to carry size, capable of measuring seven (7) different rope diameters.
  • Imperial gauge (red) allows for full range of measurements: 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 and 3/4 inch.
  • Precision CNC machined and sized to ASME requirement criteria for wire rope.
  • Gauge is also sized to proposed ASME standards for wire rope with rouge.
  • Straightforward design and use: As a universal go-no-go gauge, if a specific portion of wire is suspected of wear, or rouging, simply place the gauge slot for that particular original diameter over the rope crowns on a straight section.  If the rope will not enter the slot, its diameter is considered satisfactory.
  •  Add your own custom logo, graphic, text, or color (minimum order required).

Metric - Blue Anodized Aluminum

  • Anodized aluminum coating to protect against corrosion and wear.
  • Color coded blue for easy metric tool identification and use.
  • Convenient, easy to carry size, capable of measuring nine (9) different rope diameters.
  • Metric gauge (blue) allows for full range of measurements: 6, 8, 9.5, 10, 11, 13, 16, 19 and 22 millimeter.
  • Precision CNC machined and sized to ASME requirement criteria for wire rope.
